Graduate School Scholarships and Grants for Nurses
We all know what’s driving the Institute of Medicine, the AACN, hospital systems, nursing schools and other stakeholders to make the push for more MSN-educated nurses. What you may not know is that many of these same organizations are putting their money where their mouth is by offering scholarship opportunities specifically for registered nurses looking to enroll in RN-MSN bridge programs.

Universities, hospitals, government agencies, professional associations and private donors have all come together to make it easier for RNs to afford graduate school.
You’re probably familiar with the top national organizations that offer graduate school scholarships and grants to nurses like you:
- National Health Service Corps
- NURSE Corps Scholarship Program
- NURSE Corps Loan Repayment Program
- AACN Student Scholarship Programs
- Advanced Nursing Education
- Nursing Student Loan Program
- Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need
What you may not know is that national programs merely scratch the surface of what’s available out there. Scholarships and grants available at the state and university level are less competitive and often have eligibility requirements that are less exclusive. These programs might be your best shot at getting a full ride or some extra money to put towards earning your MSN.
Finding scholarships is easy. Finding scholarships that are applicable to you, that can be another story altogether. To make the scholarship-search easier, RNtoMSNedu.org has put together a list of some of the best RN-MSN scholarships we could find for each state.
